Set Up a Dial-Up Connection in Windows NT
Windows NT and Windows 2000 are geared for professionals, not for the average home user. There are additional steps involved in setting up Dial-Up Networking which are not covered here. If you don't know how to perform these steps, well.....
- Double-click My Computer
- Double-click Dial-Up Networking
- In the Dial-Up Networking pop-up window, click OK
- In the New Phonebook Entry Wizard, type Visi.net in the Name the new phonebook entry field. Click Next
- In the Server window, check I am calling the Internet. Click Next
- In the Phone Number window, enter the dial-up access number in the Phone number field. Make sure Use Telephony dialing properties is not checked. Click Next
- You're done! Click Finish
