Q: Internet Explorer or Netscape does not prompt to dial a connection?
 
A:
  1. Click on Start, Settings, and then Control Panel.

  2. Within Control Panel, double click on Internet Options 

  3. Within Internet Options, click on the Connections tab.

  4. Verify that your connection is set as the default connection.

  5. If not, highlight your connection and click the Set Default button.

  6. Select Always dial my default connection.

  7. Click OK to save the settings.

NOTE: If you do not have Internet Options, you have an earlier version of Internet Explorer. Follow the instructions below:

  1. On the Connection tab, select Connect to the Internet using a modem.

  2. Click Settings... and verify that is the specified Dial-Up Networking connection and click OK.

  3. Click OK once again to save the settings.
